Outsourcing Still Center Stage

In today's edition of the Wall Street Journal, the paper takes a look at this ongoing issue from a holistic point-of-view. The Journal rounds up stories from around the globe covering everything from the effect of India's election on IT job growth in that country to the layoff's at Nextel and the problems it is causing employees and just about everything in between.

"The U.S. economy is chugging along," the Journal writes, "but jobs still seem scarce. Also, workers in many industries are nervous that that they may be out of work soon, thanks to cheaper labor overseas. But some economists argue that offshoring is part of free trade, and the money saved will be reinvested in new job-creating businesses at home."
